Spain Digital Nomad Visa income calculator 2026
Compare documented gross income with the SMI-based requirement for your family size. The tool normalizes 12- and 14-payment schedules to the same annual amount.
The consistent comparison point when payment schedules differ.
The same annual solo requirement averaged over 12 months.
Check your filing office. Current consular pages can display the direct 14-payment figure, while applicants paid 12 times need the annual equivalent to compare like with like. Treat this as a planning check, not a filing-office decision.

Spain tax calculator: Beckham Law & ordinary IRPF
Use the Beckham Law calculator for income subject to Article 93, or the ordinary IRPF estimator for your taxable base and region. The two modes use different inputs and must not be treated as interchangeable.
Why there is no one-click “gross to net” answer: ordinary IRPF depends on income classification, deductible Social Security, family minimums, reductions, region, other income, credits, and treaty facts. The constrained inputs above avoid hiding those assumptions.
Calculator 3 · Social Security
Autónomo Social Security contribution calculator 2026
Look up the official RETA base range and monthly self-employed contribution range for an individual autónomo’s expected monthly computable net returns in Spain.
The 2026 figures here are enacted official values, not projections. This is a band lookup for a standard individual autónomo; company-director floors, reduced quotas, pluriactivity, special activities, chosen higher bases, and later regularization can change the amount.
Methodology
What the tools calculate—and what they do not
Every result is calculated in your browser. The forms do not send financial values to our server.
DNV income formula
Applicant: 200% of SMI. First dependent: +75%. Each later dependent: +25%. For 2026, SMI is €1,221 × 14 or €17,094 annually.
Article 93 formula
24% on qualifying work/general income through €600,000 and 47% above. Entered savings income uses 19%, 21%, 23%, 27%, and 30% bands.
Ordinary IRPF formula
The state and selected regional progressive scales are applied to the general taxable base. Tax attributable to the entered state and regional minimums is then subtracted.
Autónomo formula
The 2026 band determines a permitted contribution-base range. The displayed contribution applies the 31.5% combined 2026 rate to that base range.

Calculator questions
Spain visa income, tax & autónomo FAQs
Use these estimates alongside the Spain Digital Nomad Visa guide and the primary sources above.
What is the Spain Digital Nomad Visa income requirement in 2026?
The main applicant needs 200% of the 2026 SMI. That is €2,442 for each of 14 payment periods, €34,188 per year, or a €2,849 average when the same annual amount is spread over 12 months. Add 75% of SMI for the first dependent and 25% for each additional dependent.
Does a Digital Nomad Visa automatically qualify me for the 24% Article 93 rate?
No. The Digital Nomad Visa and the Article 93 special tax regime have separate conditions. Article 93 must be elected on time and eligibility depends on the person's move, work structure, prior Spanish residence, and other facts.
Does the tax calculator show my final Spanish tax return?
No. It is an educational planning estimate before credits and withholding. Ordinary IRPF uses the latest completed 2025 nationwide filing-reference scales because tax year 2026 has not closed.
How do I calculate Spain Digital Nomad Visa income for a family?
Enter the number of accompanying dependents, excluding the main applicant, in the visa income calculator. It adds 75% of SMI for the first dependent and 25% for each additional dependent to the applicant's 200%, then compares your documented gross income on an annual basis.
Can I use this as a Spain net salary or take-home pay calculator?
No. The Beckham Law mode estimates tax on income subject to Article 93, while ordinary IRPF starts from your general taxable base, not gross salary. These tools do not calculate payroll deductions or final take-home pay. Social Security, deductible expenses, allowances, credits, and your circumstances require separate checks.
How do I calculate autónomo Social Security contributions in Spain?
Use the autónomo contribution lookup with your monthly computable net returns under Social Security rules, not gross invoices. It shows the official 2026 RETA contribution-base band and contribution range for a standard individual autónomo. Reduced quotas, special cases, and later regularization can change what you pay.
